How much does a Powerflush cost?

We offer clear upfront pricing. Our Powerflush starts from £500 up to 10 radiators. Please see our pricing page for more information. All Powerflushes include a Powerflush certificate.

What is a Powerflush?

A Powerflush is a way of cleaning sludge and other debris from your central heating pipework, boiler and hot water coil.

How does it work?

We use a Kamco Clearflow CF90 Powerflush machine along with our powerful Adey Magnetic Sludge Filters connected to your central heating to circulate chemicals which are designed to break down sludge, this machine is then used to thoroughly wash through fresh water to rinse away any broken down deposits leaving your system to breathe and circulate as it should. Check out our YouTube channel for more videos.

How do I know I need a Powerflush?

Your system may be experiencing all or some of these symptoms. Cold spots on radiators, noisy boiler, slow heat up, pump failure, radiators pin holes due to corrosion.

Our engineers will use a thermal imaging camera to highlight any underperforming radiators.

Will a Powerflush cause leaks on my system?

A Powerflush will wash away any debris, this debris could be masking damage to your system, we do however say if the Powerflush was to create a leak then this was something that was going to be a issue in the future and its better to know about and find these risks whilst an heating engineer is in your property rather than the leak springing a surprise one day when you are out doing your shopping. We have carried out hundreds of Powerflushes and leaks from Powerflushing are not common.

How Long does a Powerflush take?

We ask you allow a day for our engineers to flush a standard size central heating system.

What happens on the day of the Powerflush

You can carry on using your heating system as you normally would on the morning of your Poweflush. Our engineers will call when they are on their way to your property, we will usually be with you around 8.30.

On arrival our engineer will have a work sheet with the problem areas that were highlighted on your survey noted down. The engineer will set up the machine ideally outside and will require a outside tap and foul drain. All work areas will be protected.

The radiators all stay on the wall the Powerflush machine flushes the radiators in situ. We will need access to all radiators on your heating system.

We will need to access any tanks in your loft or airing compartment connected to your central heating system.

After the Powerflush has been completed our engineer will show you the debris our magnetic system filters collected and also confirm the operation of all radiators using a thermal imaging camera. All work carried out will be sent to you in digital format work report along with photos. A Powerflush Certificate will be issued.

After your central heating system has been Powerflushed we will treat your system including the addition of Adey inhibitor chemicals.

Is a Powerflush my only option?

A Powerflush is not always required or the best solution for circulation issues. We have extensive domestic system design knowledge to identify system design issues. We also carry the Adey Magnacleanse which involves using your current system pump and attaching our magnetic filters along with cleaning chemicals. We also use the Thoroughflush kit as another flushing option, this can be used without chemicals, filter and Powerflush machine and just uses mains water.
